Easy & Great for Beginners
I wanted to make an apron because I love to cook, but I am a kitchen klutz. The store-bought aprons I've owned hang too low or don't adequately cover my chest, so I end up with sauce on my clothes anyway. My new apron is cute, feminine and (best of all) properly sized and shaped to do its job.

Highly Recommend
I made the "D" view pattern, a semicircular apron with a contrasting ruffle. The ruffle and ruffled pocket embellishment are edged with rickrack.
I did not line the apron, nor put interfacing in the tie band. I did serge the ruffle onto the body, though ruffled it by hand with basting thread becau
