Lazy Girl Designs is offering a new adventure in bag-making with our newest pattern, the Summer Tote. Summer is constructed by fusing two layers of fabric together to create the 'walls' of the bag. We use Steam-A-Seam 2 from The Warm Company to fuse two layers of quilter's cottons to create a canvas-like fabric with beautiful drape and body. Here, we show Summer in two fun fabrics designed by Laurel Burch. Be sure to select two fabrics with a strong design as shown here. The stripe works beautifully for the tall back pocket, shorter front pocket and handle. We love the look of butterflies soaring all over the cover of Summer. Choose a fun patterned fabric that showcases this large area. The yellow/orange grab tab at the zipper ends are leftover bits of lining fabric. Finish the interior with coordinating fabrics for the lining and pockets.

Summer stands 11" tall by 15" wide across the zip-top. Six outside pockets, up to four inside pockets, fully lined.

Pattern Description: Enjoy "Summer" year-round with this fabulous and flirty "go anywhere" tote. Summer has it all, inside and outside pockets, zip top and smart handles that never tire. Pattern Sizing: One size tote, 15" W x 11" H and 5 1/2" deep at the bottom Did it look like the photo/drawing on

Pattern Description: It's a tote! Pattern Sizing: It's a pretty good size tote that would fit a lot of stuff. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? As with all Lazy Girl patterns, mine looked better! Were the instructions easy to follow?

New Tote Inside Tote UPDATE January 2007: This is my latest version of the Summer Tote in a reduced size. This is the third tote I've made with this pattern. Although the original tote is the original size, this one and the one I named below "Autumn Tote" are reduced in size. Again, I quilted
