Pattern Description: Nice Jacket/Coat pattern with set in sleeves.
Pattern Sizing: Small
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Almost, I lengthened the sleeves from 3/4 to full length and I wanted the length of the jacket longer.

Pattern Description: "Lined jacket A, coat B have loop and button closure and three-quarter length sleeves."
Pattern Sizing: I made a muslin first in a 14, then I made another in a 12 and was much happier with that. Watch out for the narrow shoulders if you have a problem with that.

Easy & Great for Beginners
This is my project for the reconstruction contest. I have taken a thrift shop jacket to it's bare bones and reconstructed it into the cute one button "jacklet" shown in Butterick 5259.

Updated 10/30/08: I also made the pants from this pattern. I made them out of the envelope as a trial run. They fit almost perfectly. Yeah!!! Are all butterick pants fit like this? If they do, I'll be making more. As for now, I'm just waiting on Hancock's to have the next 99cent sale on Butt
