I did change the ties a few minutes ago and it does look better - shows more waist and it feels better, less restricted. Funny thing is that when you told me it looks fine as it is I felt confident enough to change it :-) Thanks for your help!

Easy & Great for Beginners
I needed something to wear to a career fair my college was hosting, but haven't finished the Anne Klein suit I'm working on (its taking me forever!) so I had to make a quick alternative in the meantime. I had this pattern in my stash and combined it with McCall 4925 to make a two-piece suit.

Recommend, with Modifications
This is a pattern for a jacket, top, dress, skirt and pants. The skirt, which is what I am reviewing, is yoked with a flared skirt and a side zipper.
The recommended fabrics are crepe, gabardine, tweed and double knit. I made mine from a very soft wool/rayon/lycra fabric from cjpatterns.com. I ad

Highly Recommend
I made the jacket in this wardrobe pattern last year and loved it. It was, however, too big so I bought a smaller size to make the dress and shell. My muslin was this shell. I made it last weekend from the scraps of a skirt I made. It is self-lined.
