Textile Studio Sewing Pattern Capri Jacket # 1305
|
This versatile jacket can be worn as a jacket over a sleeveless top or a blouse depending on fabric choice. It has two length options with a fitted shoulder, narrow inset sleeves and graceful side shaping. Optional shoulder pads. Sewing time 2 1/2 hours.
Suggested Fabric:Rayon chenille, lightweight rayon crepes or textures, velvet, washed linen, lightweight wool, silk noil, textured silk.
Notions:View A: 1 pair 5/8" shoulder pads. Three buttons, suggested size 3/4". View B: One pair 1/2"- 5/8"shoulder pads. Four buttons suggested size 5/8".

I made this jacket a 2nd time with a sweater knit fabric from FabricMart. This time I made a longer version, somewhere between the short and long style in the pattern.

Pattern Description: Capri Jacket is an easy, fast-sewing (especially if you have a serger), good basic style. It has clean lines, is sophisticated and looks good on everybody. I've only made about 100 of these - ok, not that many, but lots. And never for myself (sigh).
