Textile Studio Sewing Pattern Brussels Skirt # 1105
|
One seam, one hour! No Kidding! Slimming pull-on straight skirt with a classic vent in the back. Back darts eliminate bulk at the waist. Finished length 34". Sewing time 1 1/2 hours.
Suggested Fabric:To achieve the look in the picture, use soft drapey fabric. Light weight to medium weight textured rayon. Lightweight wool. linen-rayon blends, silk-rayon blends and raw silk. Allow extra fabric for shrinkage if prewashing, and for lengthening.
Notions:1 yd 1 1/2" non-roll elastic.

Highly Recommend
This skirt has been reviewed repeatedly here on PR. It is super easy and took me less than 2 hours to cut and sew. I did not make any alterations to the pattern except to shorten the length. As noted by others, this has to be done before sewing due to the back vent. I took the length up just bel

Easy & Great for Beginners
Brussels Skirt #1105 is multi-sized pull on skirt with one back seam, back darts and elastic waist. What can be simpler than that to make.
