Butterick 3037 jackets and skirts
Fitted, lined top has princess seams, back slit and above elbow or long sleeves. C: contrast collar. E: sleeveless. Skirt is mid-knee, below mid-knee, mid-calf or above ankle. F: purchased trim. F,G,H: slightly flared, bias, elastic waist. G,H: lined. I: front slit. J: side slit. K,L: back slit. I,J,K,L: semi-fitted, slightly tapered, contour waist and narrow hem. Double-layered scarf. FABRICS: Top A,B,C,D, Skirt G,I,J,K,L:Raw Silk, Lt.wt. Crepe and Satin Backed Crepe. Top E:Embroidered Fabrics.

Pattern OK, but did NOT work for Me
Pattern Description: Misses top, skirt & scarf. Fitted, lined top has princess seams, back slit and above elbow or long sleeves. Skirt is midknee, below midknee, midcalf or above ankle.

Easy & Great for Beginners
This is a pattern with many views and I made the sleeveless top with collar and the skirt (omitting the centre front seam).
It was quite an easy pattern to sew, although I was not really thrilled with the shape of the collar, it looks a bit clumsy to me. I moved the first button a bit higher, which

Recommend, with Modifications
Pattern Description: Princess line tops/jackets one view with collar, the other with a V-neck, and two skirt options. I made a short sleeved top with contrasting color collar. This skirt is from simplicity 4951.
Pattern Sizing: 8, 10, 12. I made an 8 with alterations to make it smaller.

Pattern Description: Princess line, lined tops with three sleeve variations with pencil skirt or flaired bias skirt. I bought this pattern for the jacket which I think will look terrifice with a flouncy skirt. I was planning on making a different skirt but decided to give this one a try.
