Subject: speed tailoring Date: 12/21/05 6:53 AM I am wondering if this class will include Shannon's stich and flip method of lining a jacket. Have read good things about it! Thanks. Fran G Next page>> |

That is a separate class. This class will not include that method. ------ - Deepika

Subject: Speed tailoring Date: 12/21/05 7:11 AM Fran, Deepika is correct; in this class, we will be bagging a conventional lining, rather than using the Stitch and Flip technique. ------ You did make a muslin, didn't you? Next page>> |

Subject: A different question Date: 12/21/05 6:33 PM Shannon,
Just wondering if another T-shirt class will be offered soon. My internet is working again after Katrina so I can now take it. Sorry I posted this here but wasn't sure the best place to post that question. Thanks!

Reply to ivette Subject: Re: pattern Date: 12/22/05 2:34 PM Not a particular pattern, but I do have some guidelines for choices:
Choose a jacket pattern with a collar and lapel (first priority)
Sleeve vents, back vents, pockets, and lining are fine, but not necessary (as we'll be drafting custom pieces for these during the class).
Princess seams or darts...either one is fine.
Please do not choose a plaid fabric for this class:)
Pattern suggestions are given in the first posting of the class board here:
http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/sewingclasses/board.pl?t=11287
If you have a pattern you'd like to use that isn't on the list, please post the pattern number. I like to be familiar with the patterns being used before we begin:)
