Date: 2/4/06 5:04 PM My favorite is LaFred's Thia Tee. I have made a few alterations such as narrowing the shoulder, a sway back alteration and a FBA. I love this tee shirt. It has nice shaping from bust darts and vertical darts in both the front and the back. I'm 5'4" and am a plus pear shape -- Edited on 2/4/06 5:04 PM -- |

Date: 2/4/06 6:27 PM I like Kwik Sew 2565.
I have square shoulders (the burda tee that I tried had more slope in the shoulders than the kwik sew) and I'm a plus sized hourglass shape. ------ Neefer aka AgitProp and Village Churl Sewing Blog: http://www.oaktrees.org/blog/

Date: 2/4/06 6:32 PM My favourite would be the TS Santa Monica Tee, which I just made and I love the fit. Even the neckline I came round to quite a lot when I tried it on, but may still try changing that.
I also have out-of-print KwikSew 2686, which is my favourite for when I want a normal T-shirt i.e. not tight-fitting, but it has nice shaping rather than being a box
(My other T-shirt experiences include Jalie 2005, which is okay but I'm not wild about it and a number of other less famous and not particularly noteworthy patterns. I have and like an OOP NL pattern with dolman sleeves and a wonderful boat neckline, which Santa Monica is probably getting :tounge:)
I haven't tried either of the two mentioned so far -the Thia tee or Burda 2197.
My figure sounds very similar to lilhoney's except that I'm an A-cup:

Thanks for posting this topic - it's given me a reason to review my T-shirt pattern collection, which has reminded me about some patterns. |

Date: 2/4/06 8:11 PM My favorite is also Burda 3197, though I also have my CJ Basewear 2 T's tweaked to fit pretty well. They both have a very graceful shape, at least for me, and I really like the shape of the scoop neck in the Burda when I raise it to the highest one printed on the pattern tissue. |

Date: 2/5/06 1:22 AM I'm a short round apple shape and like my t-shirt to be body skimming not fitted so I like KS 2900. I've remade it in a dozen different ways. I'm currently using Simplicity 6459 for a more shaped t-shirt. I also love KS 3378, the new twist top and KS 3263, a raglan t-shirt. ------ Visit my blog at http://sewingsaga.blogspot.com

Date: 2/5/06 9:07 PM I really like Burda 3197. I like the higher armhole and the curved side seams. I also think the low scoop neckline is very flattering. With a smaller size in the shoulder and a FBA, I get a super fit. I am petite (5' 2") and 39-29-37. I also plan on trying the La Fred Thia Tee, which has darts and a square neckline. |

Date: 2/14/06 9:31 PM While we're all busting our bu*ts (measured, of course, approximately 9" below the natural waist...) to find the ultimate t-shirt pattern, MiuMiu is making a killing with this white cotton t-shirt. Why are we all worried? MiuMiu shirt $85. Anything we make: priceless.
Would it be as appealing if the label said Hanes?
