After having this nearly complete for a couple of months, AnneM finally asked me about it today, thank-you AnneM, this has motivated me to finish it (I only have to sand a bit, cover it and mount it)

Anyway I thought I would show you all My Twin Dress Form before she is covered.
It is scarey how easy, how much fun, (Hubby did it for me and threatened to leave me in the cast ) :0 , and how accurate this is!
I haven't yet used it but I know for sure it'll be a winner!
I am hoping that I get the Pants version for my birthday!

Hey, thanks for a look.  I've been wanting to get one of these myself.  Let us know how it works out for you.

That came out well!  You will have to post a "dressed" (covered) version as well.

I really needed a dress form right now (to store my wedding dress on, since the wedding isn't until October), so I broke down & bought a Twin-Form.  I used my 50% off coupon, so it was pretty reasonable as these things go.  The the My Twin kit will have to wait.  Meanwhile, I will live vicariously through you.   ;)

Hi Maria,

My Twin Website

This website has all the pricing info.
Everything is included except the Polyurethane foam, which you get a couple of contact numbers for.  I got a discount on the foam and the woman on the phone was very helpful.

Lou, curious about which package you selected.  Do you "need" the bandage scissors?  How about the video and did you purchase a stand or make one?   Adding these items can really add up.  What would you suggest as the mimimum purchase to achieve great results?

I purchased the full package.  You will need the bandage scissors (they have flat bits so you don't cut the skin).  The stand I purchased because I knew DH couldn't make one and finding one would be a pain in the butt...!!

I got the video, and actually made it without because it was late, but it is worth getting, there's some good tips and instructions in it.

Lou,
im a plus size, and wear about a size 3x in rtw. and i was wondering if you had any stuff left over. like bandages or whatever it is they send you? i guess what im asking is are you in the plus size range? and do you think if i was to order something like this, i should order more bandages. i've made a duct tape body double and kinda know about how to place the tape. so i was hoping i wouldnt have to spend the extra on the tape. and i also kept a floor lamp (the kind with 3 light sockets pointing in different directions.) that doesnt work anymore. i removed the light sockets and the pole and base is really heavy. i also have some instructions on how to build a pole for these forms. but doesnt mean my husband will do it for me. especially after the duct tape mess...

Maria, I had about 3 roles of Bandages left, (I'm a size 2 pants in rtw), and I had a little of the foam left over....I'm getting the pants one as well so I can use it up there.

If you ring the woman, I forget her name now, she will be able to tell you...she's very friendly, and helpful.
She may also be able to advise on the foam purchase as well.

I do highly recommend it.  You will need at least 2 people, preferably sewing friendly, (a beer helps if its DH), and don't rush anything, I'm not a patient person and 15 minutes to wait for it to dry was a lifetime for me....well worth it though.

The actual dress form is very very light, when the cast is taken off.
