I was checking out craigslist today and saw this ad for an Anker Machine. I have never heard of them and thought it was such a good looking machine and cabinet. Anker
Does anyone know anything about them?

I know the brand Anker by name only and I think it is or was a Dutch brand. There are still new Anker sewing machines made but it is more a sewing machine for a beginner.
I found the same sewing machine up for auction on a Dutch site, listed for 50,00 about US $ 63.00 see

I believe this is a German made machine. You might wish to google Anker-Phoenix and Anker-Weke AG. The machines seemed to have elaborate decorations on them. The Royal Ruby machine is lovely. I would check on line sites such as ISMACS and The Needlebar for info on the brand also.
I thought I would edit to say that there is an Anker machine from the 1950's presently on ebay and is said to be the same machine as the Pfaff 250. The present price is also $250.

Thanks you are right about the German origine, I was wrong about Anker being a Dutch brand, it only sounded Dutch.

I sold one on ebay, and it was a solid well made machine. However the parts are no longer being made, and the brand is very obsecure so it is impossible to get fixed. Quality wise I think it was much nicer than Pfaff, and I have sold quite a few of the older pfaffs.

I have a 1950 Anker RZ in a really cool cabinet and I prefer it to my Pfaff 130. They are both very similar in design.
