Date: 7/17/07 11:55 PM Every time I post a review, there is a message saying I don't have email notification set for comments and I can set it on the next page. However, there is no next page, and the only email notifications I seem to have permission for are Newsletters and classes.
Where do I set email notification so that I can be notified that people are commenting on my review? I've tried various search phrases, but the help file doesn't provide any information on this issue. ------ inez

Date: 7/18/07 12:46 PM Deepika, I suspected that might be the case.
Perhaps that information can be included in the note that mentions turning comment notification on. I'll look closely the next time I create a review, but I didn't see anything specifying Friends of PR only.
Thanks! ------ inez

Date: 2/24/10 12:33 PM The note doesn't say that you have to be a Friend of PR. It merely tells you that you may turn them on at the Notifications page. I'm glad that I now know I can't turn them on and will stop looking. It would be nice to have the note changed to either state that it is for Friends of PR or not appear unless you are a Friend of PR.

Date: 6/29/11 1:03 AM Wow....this is brutal everything seems like you have to be a "friend of PR" in order to participate in the community. Maybe I should just stop writing reviews. ------ http://sewchicmama.blogspot.com |

Date: 6/30/11 1:33 AM No, don't do that . I've come to the conclusion that I need to START posting reviews to "earn my keep" around here since I"m not a member yet.
I plan on becoming a member. I'm just feeling out the waters first. I've run into a few very helpful people but sometimes it's hard to get replies to questions for me. i'm not sure if it's because I'm not a "friend" or if I've offended everyone or if the people have to get to know you around here before they start being really helpful. I'm still trying to figure things out. .
But I DO DO DO so much appreciate the reviews so please don't stop writing them! In fact I'm going to go read yours before you decide to stop writing them! |

While there are certainly advantages to being a Friend of PR, complete and unlimited access to almost all of the information on the site is available free of charge. |

Date: 1/26/12 6:14 AM I am glad I found this...looking for something else. I have been wondering how to turn it on, too. Could the text be edited to say "For Friends of PR, you can turn on the comments notification this way:..." or something similar? ------ Sandy in the UK
