Date: 2/9/08 7:13 PM I've having a lot of trouble getting a response from Wazoodle on a shipping error - does anyone know if there's something going on there? I've put in one of their "help tickets", called and left messages twice...now I'm getting ticked off!
There's no contact email on their site, just the help tickets and their toll free number (I haven't been able to get through to a person yet, just left messages)...

Date: 2/9/08 8:52 PM No, you're not the only one. I also have found them to be pretty casual about answering communications of any kind. That said, however, I have found the fabrics to be top-notch, and more to the point, if the color was not true to the description (as has happened a couple of times), they have been superb about returns. -- Edited on 2/9/08 8:53 PM -- |

Date: 2/9/08 9:24 PM Hi Jules,
No, you are not the only unlucky one! I placed an order months ago; gave it a reasonable shipping time to clear customs etc......never received it. After several weeks of emailing and asking for my money back they finally refunded.
I won't shop there again! Too bad 'cuz I liked their fabric. ------ ~Connie

Date: 2/10/08 4:57 AM I've noticed them being slow around the times of their big yard sales, but not the rest of the time. Guess I've been lucky. ------ I've moved! Visit my new sewing blog at http://chiralcraft.wordpress.com

Date: 2/10/08 11:47 AM I have always experienced superb customer service from them, even to the point of them taking a lot of time on the phone to provide consultation regarding which knits would be easiest to sew or would have certain characteristics. They have been prompt in responding in the past.
The only time I didn't get a response was when I asked through their web site if they were going to have any men's flannel sleep pant grab bags. If I was ready to order, I would have called them and asked.
They seem to be sort of a mom and pop type operation and very personal. Maybe there is a family situation or some overload happening.
I personally would not give up on them. Perhaps resolve your current issues with them and wait a couple of months and see how things go. They are a good business and have had a good reputation in the past as far as I know. I've ordered from them several times over the past couple of years. Because I'm on a fabric fast, the last time was a few months ago.
I would suspect that they got backlogged from their yard sale. Last time I participated in a yard sale, I made out. The deals I got were amazing, and their profit margins must have been very low. It may be that they are fulfilling all those orders with regular staff and can't really afford to hire extra staff to accellerate fulfillment. In that case, one person being out ill could cripple them, especially if it's a key person. I'm just guessing.

Date: 2/10/08 1:18 PM I haven't ordered from Wazoodle in a long time but I have tried to email for info on a few occasions and have never received a response. There is definitely something wrong with the email process from Wazoodle to customers. I'm not sure if I would let this stop me from ordering because I did have good experiences with that part of the shopping. ------ --

Date: 2/10/08 1:30 PM I've always had excellent service from them. I live nearby, so I usually pick up the stuff. But every time I opened a ticket or called them and left a message, I always got a reply or a call within 2 days. I place my order online and they send me reply within 2 days.
Their website also hasn't been updated in a while. The yard sale was in the end of Dec and they still have that notice there. I wonder what's going on. Hope everything's alright with them.
They have this 905-294-1390 number on their contact us page too. This is what I usually call. |

Date: 2/10/08 9:58 PM I didn't see any recent negative reviews. My take on this is that every once in a while they get overloaded and a few things slip through the cracks. I think though they use the internet, they are very much a people-oriented company and probably a family-type business. They could probably be slicker, but I think they are honest and care about their customers. The quality is always very good, and the customer service is normally very good. If I had a problem that patience didn't solve, I would definitely just call them and very sweetly but persistently inquire until it was cleared up. I guess I have this attitude because I know that running a business is challenging and would want a bit of understanding if I were running that business. To me, it's worth a small amount of very occasional inconvenience to get the quality at such low prices. But, I've never had a problem with them.
One thing they did was that when they took off the grab bag tab, I was distressed and thought they no longer had them. I called them on their toll-free number, and within a day it was back. They were that responsive. So, I would rely more on the phone if you have trouble and just engage them personally. -- Edited on 2/10/08 9:59 PM -- ------ "puhPOjhu"--a river that sinks into a mountain with fury and winds around underground for miles before emerging in calm down the road... |

Date: 2/11/08 0:54 AM thanks - at least I'm not the only one.
I've always had good service in the past, but I've never had to actually deal with anyone - usually my orders are shipped promptly and correctly. But this time, a piece of fabric was left out of my order, and although the total value was small, I REALLY wanted that particular fabric.
*sigh*
