Date: 8/2/08 6:15 PM All I could find was a reference in a 10-year-old issue of Threads and the notation Karen Howland gives detailed sloper-drafting directions in her book Cut to the Fit (888-683-2032, to order).
It's really discouraging to find that google and my usual OOP booksites had nothing. Sorry. ------ “Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it annoys the pig.” -Robert Heinlein and Ann's father. Thanks for the reminder, Ann.
Where are we going, and what am I doing in this handbasket?

Date: 8/3/08 4:11 PM The best thing you can do is go to the THREADS site and do a search for her article(s) that were published years ago, that Karla mentioned, and print them out. |

Date: 8/3/08 5:44 PM I would also try posting a "wanted" classified here on PR...I always see if I have something in my bookshelf (unused) that someone needs... |

Date: 8/17/08 11:05 PM I've often wondered what happened to Karen Howland as well. I have her books and think the Threads articles she's written are great.
I think I just found her on LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/4/0B7/097. I haven't tried contacting her via LinkedIn (wonder if she realizes a lot of people are still interested in her books).
Hope this helps. |

Date: 8/17/08 11:18 PM She used to post on some of the boards around like PMB, but I haven't seen her in quite awhile. I think she decided to retire. ------ Marilyn
