Subject: very new to sewing Date: 1/2/09 4:53 PM Hi. I'm just beginning to learn to sew, and got a serger and sewing machine for Christmas. Is this class appropriate for me? I've been doing some very basic sewing lessons with my machine--reading a pattern, laying out the pattern, and cutting fabric. Will begin constructing my garment at my next lesson. Haven't even threaded my serger, yet, though. How much experience do I need for this class? Next page>> |

I would like to know how many classes is in Serger Fundamentals. Do you have any class outlines? I am taking other classes around the same time and wouldn't want to overload myself. Thanks!

Reply to BabyStep Subject: Re: Pre Registration Q&A Date: 1/7/09 3:09 PM As of right now, there are 10 lessons. I will probably add a couple more as I finish them:)
There is no project for this class, merely some simple exercises to help make your serger make sense:)

Date: 3/19/09 7:28 AM I own a Baby lock Evolve, I am a sewer of many years, everything from tailoring to home dec to quilting yet, the one stumbling block for me has always been the use of my serger. I find it intimidating and lack confidence despite the store instructions and video that come with the machine, I can't seem to wrap my head around it's use. I have never taken online classes before and wonder if you think I'll get some relief from my "block"
