I got a new Evolve Babylock Serger for Christmas. I was watching the serger videos on the Nancy's Notions website. The 3rd serger video features Margaret Tully and was amazing. She has a video out but it costs $97.50 (or close to that). What I'm wanting to know is how much is her techniques and how much is general serger information? Is the video as amazing as I'm hoping for? I don't need the general serger info as the Evolve comes with a great video but sure would love to see more of her techniques. I hope I'm posting this in the right section....new to this forum.

Bringing this back up to the top, Connie, because I'm interested in this as well. I've heard great things about Margaret Tully's teaching, and have considered buying this DVD. But the price seems exhorbitant and it would be nice to know that it offers more information than what the Babylock serger DVDs offer. Anyone?

I went back and forth a lot on paying this much for a DVD - but finally did it about a year ago. I really like it - although I still think it is fairly high priced, but I have watched it about 3 times over the past year and know I will watch it again. It is not a lot beyond basic information, but then again, it does cover some things you may find helpful and learn to expand on what you are now using your serger for. In the beginning she speaks of sergers in general - about threading and how they work vs a sewing machine, and then goes into some great ideas and techniques that are very good, even in making a simple pillowcase - which you may think is super simple, but she show a way to do the corners so they really look nice - and she also shows how to do a waistband using elastic that does not turn on you when worn.
and of course more. She is so real when she speaks, you feel like she is talking to you - and makes you ( or makes me ) want to go and try new things. I still think it a little high priced, but I am happy I took the plunge and bought it.

I bought this dvd a few years ago and have never even watched it. I will post it for sale on the classified section in a day or two. Hopefully someone will want it.

Hey Peggy,

What price will you be listing this DVD for? Also, What is the name of the DVD and what are the highlights of this video?

Thanks.

Just thought I'd pass this along. I didn't know about this video until today. I went on the website and it's marked down to $50.

I purchased her DVD back when I purchased my Imagine and it is terrific, but guess what, there was an almost identical DVD that came with the Imagine.

I know that Babylock packs different things with their sergers at different times. When I purchased the coverstitch machine, the first one I tried out in the store was a lemon. It came with a binder. When the second one came in, it didn't come with the binder. It ran like a dream and the dealer, All Brands in Richmond, Va, gave me the binder from the first machine. The first machine had to be returned to Babylock. Thank you Gayla...

That is why I never buy a machine I haven't test driven and if a dealer objects, then I will find another dealer.
