Hi everyone!

I've been thinking about buying my first serger for a while, and now I have a chance to get a Bernina / Bernette fun lock 006d serger for $50.

The problem is that the person selling it never used it (it was a gift from a family member), and there's no manual.
And since I never used a serger before, I don't even know how to test it...

I couldn't find a review on this site, so I would be extremely grateful if anyone has recommendations for this model.

Also, if you happen to know where can I find a manual, I would appreciate it!

Thank you,
Shirley

I had a Funlock and the threading instructions are on the inside of the front door.

The manual for the 234 is a close match - free download.

I had the 004 and the stupidest thing I ever did was trade it in for a new one. These are pretty easy sergers to learn. If you can't find a manual get a good serging book and it will help you a lot. The ABCS of Serging is a oldie but goodie if you need help.

Can anyone tell us the differences between the 004D and the 006D? I have the 004D and would be more than happy to copy the manual and send it to you if it would be helpful.

I had this serger and have since sold it and all the manuals. It is a gem. It can be a pain to thread but can be done using tweezers. That is an amazing price for it.

The stitch was fantastic and the rolled hem was easy to set up and was fantastic btw-- no special plate. The manual that came with it was very basic. These machines were rebadged Juki's and the allbrands site can tell you the equivalent Juki for the Bernette 006D.

I'm interested in the manual. Do you still have it? Thank you!

Hi! Do you still have your Bernette 006D manual for sale? I am interested in purchasing it.
Thanks!

I just bought my first overlocker second hand and it is a Bernina Funlock 006D but it didn't have the manual. I'm unable to find one online and I really don't want to pay $20-30 for one either because I'm feeling rather poor from the machine purchase.

Does anyone have a manual of a model close to it that I can take a look at and get an idea of the basics behind a machine before I start trying to thread it?

I have tried to get a manual from the Bernina website but the website errors when you try to go to the manuals page.

Never mind, the person I bought the machine found the manual.
