Date: 6/5/09 9:24 AM Narcissa, I've never seen this before, so I'm sure it's new. One hundred dollars is a lot of money to spend on a bias tape maker -- unless you really love bias tape. ------ The essence of life is statistical improbability on a colossal scale.

Date: 6/5/09 9:44 AM I agree, Nancy. A whole lot. I saw that box somewhere but I can't remember where. It had to be at Jo Anns since it was recently. I'll have to try to find to get an upclose look. ------ http://sweetnotions.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 6/5/09 10:27 AM Does seem on the high side ... especially compared to the Clover manual ones. But then, if it's at Joann's you can always use your coupons. I really like when they have a 50% single and also the 10% off your entire purchase ------ Machine Stable: Bernina 165, Elna Lotus TSP, Babylock Imagine, Babylock Coverstitch and my newest baby Janome 350E |

Date: 6/5/09 1:08 PM Wow, the price is really up there....I'm looking forward to hearing from someone who has seen the thing in person.
I have 5 of the Clover bias tape makers, total cost much less than $100 and I love them. Granted you need to use an iron, but I have made miles of bias tape with my Clover tools and a steam iron.
------ 2012 : starting stash 386, net additions 206, used 164, ending stash 428

Date: 6/5/09 2:48 PM Got an email earlier today from Fabric Depot about that contraption as well as
the new Simplicity Rotary Cutting Machine.
They have both on sale (the tape maker for $74, the cutter for $55.
Still seams a little pricey unless you make a ton of bias tape. ------ Leslie |

Date: 6/5/09 8:40 PM At http://www.fabricdepot.com/index.php?page=ProductPage&pageid=132067, it says it will make 12 feet within 60 seconds. The only available size is 1", but additional sizes will be available mid-summer. It sure is tempting! ------ Sonja
