Date: 6/11/09 11:27 PM It's finally time to share the details of PR Weekend Philadelphia!

Where: Philadelphia, PA
When: May 14-16, 2010
As you know, PR Weekend is a weekend get-away for PatternReview members held to bring the community closer, support local sewing-related businesses and share our love of our craft.
As always, this PR Weekend promises to be a fun-filled weekend with lots of activities, fabulous shopping, great food and plenty of time spent with fellow sewists, talking and learning and feeding on each other's creativity.
Philadelphia is a great city full of vibrant neighborhoods, loads of restaurants for all budgets, great shopping and - as the first capital of the United States - lots of history. If you're bringing along a loved one (or more), there are plenty of things to occupy them while you're fabric-shopping!
Read on to find out what has been planned for you!
Our guest speaker for this PR Weekend is:
Kenneth King

The Sheraton Society Hill Hotel will be our base for the weekend. Located in the Old City/Society Hill section of Philadelphia, it's only a few blocks from Fabric Row and most of the hsitoric sites.
We have reserved a block of rooms at a special rate just for PR Weekend attendees. Rooms are available at $169 plus tax, and the room plan includes breakfast. Make your reservation here. Check the Roomshare/Rideshare topic if you want to find someone to share with.
PR Weekend registration fee is $70 (non-refundable) and includes:
- Presentation/workshop with Kenneth King
- Visit to the "Great Designers" exhibit and study room at the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Costume Collection.
- Friday night group dinner
- Bus & conference room rental
Sounds like fun, right?

PR Weekend registration is now closed
When we've filled the spots, we WILL close the registration. Because we need to make a lot of arrangements ahead of time, we're going to close the registration on April 30, 2010. So make sure you register sooner rather than later.

Date: 6/18/09 10:26 AM I heard tell there is great swing dancing in Philly and my fiance has some friends there, so even though we're in Louisville, I'm really hoping to be able to make it to this PR Weekend. It'll be my first! ------ http://www.cisasews.blogspot.com Next page>> |

Reply to nicegirl Date: 7/21/09 11:04 PM I think I'll have to warn the nice people at Jomar that they might want to have more than one person cutting fabric that day or the poor man will take his shears and run away when he sees all the shopping carts full of bolts descending upon the cutting table. That might be my BIGGEST contribution to PR Weekend Philly. ------ Karen
