I'm thinking about ordering
Vogue 1027, but I'm not sure what size to order.

My measurements are 40-36-45. According to the size chart I'm pretty much in the 18-20 range. I would normally go with the larger, but I've heard it runs big, and I worried I'll be close to the cut off between the two sizes. (One is 6-8-10-12, the other 14-16-18-20-22.)

I can't seem to find the actual finished measurements anywhere on the web.

Can anyone who has made it, or has the pattern envelope with the measurements, help me out?

I just check mine, there are no finished measurements on the tissue. I'd think you'd want to buy the larger pattern and probably start with the 16 through the bust and grade out to the 18 at the waist. If it is a little too big, you can always resew the side seams with a wider seam allowance. If it is too small.... no easy fix.

I agree with Amy-may. I'm actually in the process of cutting out another version of this (I loved my first version). There *is* some extra ease in the pattern, but I think you'll be fine starting with the 16 and then grading out to the 18 or 20 (depending on how much ease you want) at the waist/hips. Once you get the main part of the bodice constructed, you can take it in at the side seams if you need to.

Thanks, I'm gonna go with the larger size. Always good to be reminded that its easier to take it in if needed.

lilikoiknits - How did it end up turning out?

I've also heard this one runs big...some reviews I read said they went 1-2 sizes down. I ended up buying the smaller pattern (6-12) but it appears I am closer to a 16, according to pattern measurements. The size chart says I would need a 14 for my shoulders and hips, but bust and waist are pretty much exactly a 16.

Do you guys think I'll be OK with the pattern I have, or should I exchange it for the larger one? I'm just afraid it will be too big in some places... It was hard to decide on which size, since I seem to possibly be on the cusp of both, since the pattern runs large.
