Date: 9/10/09 11:24 AM I recently edited a review to reflect a new version of the same pattern. I removed the older file and replaced it with the newer one. Still, the picture of the old garment appears in the review gallery. When you click on it, though, the picture expands to show the new garment. Am I doing something wrong?
I closed my browser to refresh the cache, but still the same thing happens.
Thanks!

Date: 9/23/09 9:06 PM It appears that you can only add a gallery picture when you create the review and not when the review is edited. I just added a review that I had in draft form. When I created the review, I didn't add a gallery picture because I hadn't taken the pictures. When I added the pictures. I have added the pictures to the review and published it, but my picture is not appearing in the gallery.
Can this be changed? I have several reviews that I would like to complete and add to the database. I would like to have gallery pictures for all of them (without copying and pasting my drafts into a new form).

Date: 10/7/09 4:17 PM In the past, I have found the update process to be pretty slow. When I edit a review to add a new garment I usually replace the thumbnail and hit the checkbox not to push it to the top of the gallery.
Then the next day I go in and edit the text, this time pushing it to the top. It appears the update is done overnight, and when I go back the next day the new thumbnail is showing. It does require a little advance planning, though, to create a 24 hour lag between uploading the new photo and actually updating the review. ------ http://theslapdashsewist.blogspot.com

Date: 10/16/09 5:26 AM Hi guys,
This is a browser cache problem. Sometimes it still happens if you delete your browser files, shut the browser, and then open up PR again, the old picture is still shown. When this happens to me, I click F5 to do a manual refresh again, which loads the website again fresh. After I did this, my new updated gallery picture was shown.
If not, go back and make sure you actually deleted the "Temporary Internet Files". This is where the images shown in your browser are contained. Just deleting cookies, form fields or other settings will not help.
If you are still not sure if it's working, try opening an alternate browser. For example, I have both Internet Explorer and Firefox loaded on my computer, because some sites work better in a different browser.
The reason is that there are several different options that affect the browser cache, such as cache size, how often the temporary files are deleted, and whether or not the external server is queried when a page is viewed. I don't want to go into details, but try my tips above.
@nicegirl: once you upload your new gallery pic, it overwrites your old one. The reason yours isn't showing up until the next day has to do with your browser's cache settings.
Cheers,
Deanna

No, you can change or add the gallery picture in edit mode. A screenshot explaining where to change gallery settings
When Starting a New Review:
When you start a new review, (regardless of whether it will be published right away, or saved as a WIP), there is no field where you can upload a gallery picture.
This step becomes available after you decided to publish or make WIP. You are taken to a new page that says: You are almost done, please click browse to upload a picture to display in the gallery. Even if you do not add a gallery thumbnail at this time, you will still be able to add one when editing (see above)
Cheers,
Deanna
