Hi, does anyone have experience sewing marabou trim? How is it best attached? I am trimming a purchased canvas tote bag. Thanks!

I like to either hand sew it (and just loop the thread around the trim)

or set my machine on a very wide zigzag, and then pick out all the feathers with a safety pin so you can't see the stiching.

Thank you! I did hand sew it. What a hassle pulling out all the feathers, but it seems like the only alternative. I appreciate your help.

When possible, I try to whip stitch from inside the garment I am attaching it to. That way the thread doesn't tangle up in the feathers. It is so much faster and cleaner to do it that way.
