Date: 10/18/09 5:38 PM Hi,
I'd like to venture into more adventurous turf with my window treatments. I like the look of piping on the edge of a valance. I'm guessing that I have to align the raw edges of the piping with the edge of the valance and then turn the hem up the back. But how do I keep the back of that hem from showing? Do I have to line the valance in advance and sew the back up later? (Does that make sense??!) |

Reply to Dr. Cumin Date: 10/18/09 5:49 PM Just sew it between valance and lining. I hadn't made too many window treatments but that is what I would do. |

Reply to Sewinglady1947 Date: 10/18/09 5:56 PM Thanks for this speedy reply Sewinglady. I'm unsure about how to do this in the correct order. Normally when I've lined my panels, I just sew the sides up and turn it right side out, and them hem my bottom but if I do that here, the sides are already sewn. |

Reply to clt3 Date: 10/18/09 6:13 PM Ah ha!! Lightbulb goes off!!! This is brilliant. I didn't realize about the interlining. I was just dealing with fabric and lining. Now I get it. Thanks so very much to both of you. |
