I haven't attended one of the classes before so I have some very basic questions.
For the class on Interfacinings the end note says the class will include PDF downloads, a kit, a "board" and live chats.
What is a board?
Re: the chats - The chats last up to 5 hours!
How important is: 1) attending all chats; and 2) attending for their duration? Or do you just check in if you have a question or want to hear what others are asking and for as long as you like?
Thanks,

Hi Kris. I guess I'm the first to chime in here. With five classes under my "belt", I guess I can.

First, to answer your question about a "board". The board is exclusive to the class, in that other class members post their questions and situations on it--much like the main PR board, but no one else other than a class attendee can get on there. It's important because if you have a question, it will get answered from the instructor. It's like an email, but only in a public forum so that if others have the same question, it will get answered. To me, boards are VERY important for ANY class.

Now as to the chats. Those are like little "coffee/tea breaks" You can set time aside to get to know the other class members, or to get to know the instructor. As far as I know, unless something has changed within the last 6 months, chats aren't necessary to attend. And certainly NOT for their duration. Some of the chats I attended, may have lasted five hours, but I would be on for just an hour. And some I didn't attend because I couldn't or didn't want to.

Hope I've answered your questions.
