Taking fullness out of armhole making burda 7758

Irene Q Intermediate NH USA Member since 3/19/04 Posts: 2536	Login to reply to this post Reply to sewbluetiful Date: 11/2/09 10:36 AM Burda 7758 If you've got a muslin, then just pinch out a dart from the armhole towards the bust point where it naturally forms. Transfer this to the pattern, then rotate it to a side bust dart. The new side dart can either be sewn or left unsewn (you'll need to even out the hem if you do this). You'll also need to take some length out of the sleeve's front sleeve cap to match the width of the dart. I would just slash the sleeve cap all the way across about half way up, then overlap the edges at the front. There may very well be a better way to do the sleeve alteration.
