Date: 11/2/09 12:23 PM Recently I was discussing quilts with someone from my church and suggested to her that she have her greatgrandmothers quilts appraised and insured. I told her that I would find her some appraisers in our area. Thinking this would be really easy to do, I get on line and lo and behold, I can't find any sites that list them. Even here on PR I did a search and couldn't even find a thread on doing this.
Can anybody help me help her and myself too. I really should do the same thing. I have some that are over 50 years old.
TIA,

I did a search of quilt appraisers in Texas on the Internet and got several hits. ------ "Trying to save the world before bedtime"---PowerPuff Girls |

Reply to NanJones Date: 11/2/09 1:28 PM are there any quilt shows coming up in your area? I went to one locally, and an appraiser had a booth (actually several shared one). I took my quilts back and she looked at them on site while I browsed the displays. |

She has a list of appraisers and a few other links to more.
I hope this helps.
