Date: 11/4/09 1:54 PM With a bit of stretch?
I've just made my first pair of Jalie jeans and they turned out pretty well but they are going to stretch all out and are pretty lightweight.
I want my jeans to look like real jeans, darnit and that's just not going to work with the Joann selection!

Unfortunately fabric.com no longer has this stretch denim. Casual fabrics has some denim.
Lura's fabrics also has denim. |

Reply to redhotpepper Date: 11/6/09 10:27 PM Emmaonesock has wonderful quality denim when she finds it. Her description of the weight is always accurate. I also bought some of the Seven for All mankind denim from Marci Tilton, the one with stretch, if she still has any, and it is the quality and weight you are looking for. -- Edited on 11/6/09 10:29 PM -- ------ www.nancyksews.blogspot.com |

Date: 11/16/09 3:23 PM I ended up ordering some from Lura's and it will be great. It's much heavier (10oz) than anything Joann had and it has stretch. It's in the dryer right now and I'll be cutting out as soon as it's dry.
Thanks for the suggestions. When I'm done, I'll make sure and do a review.
Oh yes, I was shopping yesterday and checked out all the back pockets on the jeans and a lot of them have no design at all on the back pocket so I'm going to do that on this pair.
