Turning mock turtleneck into full turtleneck

Hello,

I am trying to turn a mock turtleneck into a full one. I wanted to know if anyone would know how wide I should make the neck in order to achieve this.

Check the length of a turtle neck in your closet and double this measurement, then add the seam allowances.
