Date: 11/4/09 8:55 PM This is going to be made up into Burda 7576: The dark, geometric-weave will be the skirt, the paisley is the top, and the cross-woven (whatever you call that?) will be the jacket.

I was nervous because they came from FFC and I'm never sure if what I see on my screen will look as good when it gets here but IT DOES!!! I am so excited! The paisley is silk chiffon, the dark fabric is 100% wool and the tweed-looking one is wool/rayon blend. They are going in a cold gentle machine wash and line dry for pretreatment.
Did I mention I'm thrilled? I can't wait to see how they make up. If they don't look good I might cry. Muslins are definitely in order this time. Next page>> |

Date: 11/4/09 9:40 PM I am not very good at pulling colours together so the more I can see how other people do it, the better I will get at it, so I really appreciate this post and the fabrics are divine!! Next page>> |

Date: 11/5/09 5:19 AM How exciting. It is sort of a gamble when buying fabric, that you are hoping will coordinate, on-line and such a thrill when it does. Like winning a big stakes throw of the dice. Good going. Lovely combination of fabrics. Next page>> |
