It is a lightweight rib knit with good recovery. I plan on using it for bodysuits and playing with the HP Three Graces pattern. What other questions do you have?
Now I need to see what colors are still available...

Subject: Premium Brushed Micropoly Knit Date: 11/6/09 5:48 PM Hee... I just read the post title and was trying to make sense of the word "micropoly," which looked like it should be pronounced my-CROP-oly, like monopoly... not like "micro-poly." It sounded very sci-fi! HTH,
Gail | Ribknit helps - it didn't say that.
I want it for tops for myself I think.
Does it cling to itself like some poly? ------ My sewing blog: weebeaks.blogspot.com Next page>> |

Date: 11/6/09 7:01 PM Can be clingy. Think leggings, typically. I can see possibly using it with the 3 graces pattern. Next page>> |

Reply to TanyaMT Date: 11/6/09 9:39 PM If I wasn't already in my jammies I would run to my sewing room, get the fabric, and wrap it around myself to judge the clingy-ness. Really, I had not thought about that. You can bet I'll do it in the morning and report back! Next page>> |

Reply to TanyaMT Date: 11/7/09 8:35 AM Ok, this fabric doesn't cling to itself so much as clings a bit to the body. Fitted tops and leggings will work nicely with this fabric. I'm still going to play around with the Three Graces as the fabric has a nice drape as well.

Reply to Flying Seamstress Date: 11/7/09 10:46 AM I've already bought about 14 yards of this fabric and I'm gong back for more.
I made simplicity 2603 Cardi-wrap with a tank and it worked perfectly for that pattern. I've worn it a few times already and I didn't notice any clinging. It is very cozy feeling, like a thin sweater knit. I think it is a fall/winter fabric though...might be too warm for spring and summer.
Now, I'm off to buy more before its all gone! ------ Doing my part to stimulate the economy, one yard at a time. Next page>> |

I remembered something else about this fabric that I like, and that is that it doesn't seem to get all static-y in the dryer and doesn't static cling to itself either...maybe that is what TanyaMT meant when she said "cling to itself" and I just didn't pick up on it. ------ Doing my part to stimulate the economy, one yard at a time.
