Date: 11/6/09 8:09 PM I have been away for some time. Just got my life in order where I have the time and space for sewing.
I have sewn a couple tops with the slinky material. Just copied pieces from Chico's. The hems give me problems, any tips? Also, has anyone lined them, or something for a little warmth? I am a FL transplant in Chicago. ha!
You ladies on here are how I learned to sew, and I would appreciate any help here. Thanks! |

Reply to TheSewingGirl Date: 11/6/09 11:10 PM Check out this link. Scroll down to where it says "Fabrics" and click on the Slinky. It will take you to a page of tips for sewing with slinky fabric. Linda had some gorgeous slinky at the recent creativfestival here in Toronto, but it was $15/metre and I'd shot my budget on a new serger / She sews with it extensively, though, so her tips should be useful.
