A person from a local parents club is selling a babylock imagine for $650, OBO. She says it is in excellent Condition, used half dozen times. Also included are - Ultimate serger book (purchased separately), Creative Serger Accessory Feet set (Blind Hem, Cording — 3mm, 5mm, Elastic, Ruffling)
- Couple hundred dollars in serger thread and yarns (includes 75 new spools, plus a dozen partially used)

1) is this a good price, or what should I offer?
2) I have only used a serger once and was a bit scared of it, what is the best way to learn? I really love what they can do for my seam finishes.
3) am I better off just buying from a local dealer?

It would cost around $2,000 to get what you describe brand new where I live. I would jump on that wonderful opportunity. I paid $600 (plus $40) shipping for one that was 7 years old off Craigslist. It is a wonderful serger. It would be good if you can "test drive" it. Ask to see how it threads using the air threading. Take different weight fabrics - very light to very thick fabrics and see how the tension looks.

If you are able to get a well-working Babylock Imagine for that price, you have done very well. If you follow eBay, you will rarely see them go that low - mostly they are $800 and above.

Ditto what homejewel said -- great price for a great serger. Grab it!

I agree -- you should definitely buy it. The Imagines are so easy to learn to use -- I taught myself to use my used Imagine Wave without a problem.

It is not the imagine wave, it is the Model BLE1AT. Still a good deal?

I paid $999 for mine last month new. If you don't want it, well, I could use a back-up

I have had the Imagine for 7 or 8 years, and really love it. It is a great machine, I had other sergers before this one, this has been the easiest to use. Tailormaid
