hi everyone! My sister has a Poang chair and ottoman that she loves but the slipcover is showing its age. I wanted to make her a new one for Christmas but I need the dimensions. Could anyone give me the length, width and height for the chair cushion, head pillow and ottoman? Thanks!

Is that the bentwood frame chair that IKEA has been making forever? They may have dimensions on their web site. I measured mine (bear in mind this is a 30 yr old chair-that thing is indestructible!). The cushion is 25" wide, from the front to the stiching line where the cushion folds to form the back is ~22.5", from this stitching line to where the top cushion is folded over to form the head pillow part is 37.5 ", the folded over portion is an additional 19.5" of which the last 9.5" are stitched together at the sides to form the pocket which goes over the chair frame. The entire length of the cushion is 79.5-80". You may want to add a little to account for any fill that will draw in the sides. I don't have the ottoman, just the chair.

I know it's not exactly what you are asking but new cushions with cover for the poang chair and ottoman are sold at the Ikea website. The price varies (greatly!) with color/fabric choice, but the basic colors are inexpensive. It looks like you get a new cushion as well as the cover for the price. I'm not a big fan of home dec sewing which is probably why I'm posting this option. I just ordered new covers online for my daughter's Ikea sofa and had them shipped to her house rather than whip some up in my sewing room.

That is so cool-I have the leather which is why my chair is still in good condition, but new cushions are a nice option. Thanks for the link.

They sell slipcovers for IKEA sofas and chairs in a lot of really good quality fabric. prices vary with fabric.
