I just bought this machine - In all the reviews you will find these
Features:

* Needle Up/Down Setting
* Free Arm
* Adjustable Stitch Length and Width
* Adjustable Presser Foot Pressure
* 3 Thread Serger
* 4 Thread Serger
* Differential Feed
* Coverstitch
* Rolled Hem

But I can not find the instructions in my manual for the coverstitch - this is the only reason I bought this machine - could some one please tell me how to set it up to do a coverstitch - I checked all the reviews and they all have the same features for this machine.

Is this the machine you have? If you google 14sh654, you'll get lots of sites with info on this machine. None of them mention coverstitch.
None of the reviewers on PR mention coverstitch either although it is listed (incorrectly? ) as a feature and many of the reviews state multiple problems with this serger.

I would suggest you return it if possible and do a little more homework on what's available. The combo serger/coverstitch machines tend to be more expensive and while many people really like them, many others prefer a separate serger and coverstitch.

I have this machine too and somewhere in the manual I remember it stating that it does not do coverstitch. Sorry. I hate you bought it for this reason and it doesn't do it. I just wich I could get mine threaded. The looper thread keeps breaking. I am getting very discouraged.
