Date: 11/18/09 11:13 PM I posted a review on this machine but evidently it was seen as advertising and now there is a --well a mess going on. Evidently there are certain guidlines to follow for reviews that I wasn't aware of. So I am going to delete my review if I can or have Deepika take it off. If anyone wishes to PM me or email me for info I will be glad to share, NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

Date: 11/18/09 11:20 PM I just read the review and did not see it as advertising because #1. I did not see a store or site listed and #2. I did not see a price.
What I did see was information on the machine that others would be interested in. I do not think that this is the same as someone who advertises a product with where and what price etc. Just my 2 cents -- ------ Corinne Next page>> |

Date: 11/18/09 11:50 PM I am looking forward to the stores new location.
I am your neighbor in Orland, and I hope to meet you and maybe spend some time and money on a new serger....I have the Coverpro 1000 and because of personal circumstances beyond my control, have not had the time to play with or use it. I am looking forward to using it on my next project.
I found your review informative and appreciate your excitement in giving the rest of us PR's an early review of this sewing room helper!

Reply to Mrs.Moos Date: 11/19/09 8:20 AM If your review was an ad then all the 'I love my machine' reviews should be removed too. You didn't mention your store's name, location or price. I am sorry that you felt you had to remove it because it offered information on a new machine by someone in a unique position to compare the new machine to the older one. Someone wrote that it was an ad for Janome. That's ridiculous; people rave about their machines all the time, is that an ad?

I agree. Don't all of our "I love this machine/pattern/notion" reviews sound like ads? -- Edited on 11/19/09 8:37 AM -- ------ Liz

Date: 11/19/09 8:58 AM Mrs.Moos, you are one of PR's expert users of the Coverpro and are eminently qualified to review any model in the series. I'm sorry that you felt it necessary to remove your review. I believe the review should have stayed. ------ The essence of life is statistical improbability on a colossal scale.

Date: 11/19/09 9:43 AM Mrs. Moos, Your review was not an ad at all and it's unfortunate it was seen that way. I am a new member here and I assume that you aren't the only one who works in a sewing machine store and gets to play with the new toys.
Your review was very helpful to me as I just received a new CPX1000 for cheap (cheap for Canada anyway). I've been practising on scraps but I find all the tensions dials overwhelming (same with my 1 week old serger) and I never would have figured out the STS on my own.
I will definitely be picking your brains for the next little while Next page>> |
