Date: 11/20/09 7:28 PM Not really a huge fan of Palin, but it was fun pulling the guys chains at work by moving the girls lunch hour to watch Oprah the other day when she talked with Palin. Then the following day Oprah announces that she will be ending her talk show in 2011. Told the guys the word behind the scenes was that Oprah and Palin really hit it off and are planning on running for President and Vice President respectively Never seen men getting so agitated and trying to be politically correct with the ladies in the office while pooh poohing, etc. the "very idea" that two women, let alone Oprah and Palin could run for President and win. Made me wish it was true. Would love to show them that women could run this country better than a man any day.. Next page>> |

Date: 11/20/09 8:16 PM I'd laugh, but I think it's too true to be TOO funny!!
Think about it: We're typically the placaters, the nurturers, the compassionate ones. We're also usually the ones that balance the checkbooks!!
If women were in charge, while killing cheating husbands would possibly be legalized and pantyhose outlawed, there's be fewer wars and less deficit!! XD ------ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Reply to RJFoote Date: 11/20/09 9:48 PM This is so far from the realm of reality that I wouldn't even give it a glancing thought, never mind a laugh. Are those men in the office cavemen? ------ http://lasewist.blogspot.com/ Next page>> |

Date: 11/20/09 9:58 PM Uh, want to see a grown woman cry? Suggest the same thing.
Only one of these women is qualified to run for or to be president.
Guess which one?

"No one" being you. Everyone does NOT share your opinion. As for "not having brains in her head" Pelosi is one of the, if not the, most addle-brained women ever to hold public office. -- Edited on 11/20/09 11:59 PM -- Next page>> |

Reply to cgHipp Date: 11/21/09 0:18 AM You're correct she should be addressed as the Honorable Sarah Palin.
Quitting does not change the fact that she was indeed the governor of a state, and not someone's maid. -- Edited on 11/21/09 0:20 AM -- Next page>> |

I know that's not what you're saying, but it kinda comes across that way.
Although to be honest, I see nothing wrong with referring to a public figure - in an informal setting, such as this - by their last name only. I mean, I'd address them by their proper title in person, but then I'd expect the same back from them. *shrug smilie here*
And to be really honest, I had no problem with McCain until he picked Palin as a running mate. I could not in good conscience support putting her as next-in-line for the presidency.------ ... but what do I know? Next page>> |
