I was at my dealers yesterday so I asked what the 11000se was going for and he told around $6K. He said would depend on what they got the machine for at the time etc. Even though not in my future I thought that was a pretty good price considering what the other TOL's are currently going for. And considering one of them in being made in China (Viking, Pfaff) and as usual Bernina is over priced. I'm not putting down either of these machines. Just repeating what he said. He also does repair work on all machines besides Janome. And they've he and wife have been in this business for 20 plus years. So I trust what he says. But If I did have the funds I would get a Janome 11000se in a New York minute.

I think it is well priced, I'm lazy so I loved the clip style hoops and the acqufil idea. It has some nice features. Definitely one for the short list

I'm not sure price wise where it started when it came out. But I'd probably only get $2K on trade in and don't think I could justifly another $4K for another embroidery machine. I love that quilting feature though.

Is it a good idea to buy a used janome 11000se with optionals included and what would be a good price? I found one that is 2 years old.

I think those have been opened up by Janome for online sales-they are no longer a protected prduct if I remember correctly.

I do believe this is too high to pay for this machine. My dealer was selling the 12,000 for $5,500 because the new TOL machine is coming out. I'd wait just a wee bit and check other sources.

Now I wouldn't pay more the 3K for a used on and with new machines coming out probably could get a new one for 4-5K. But for $5k the Pfaff Creative Pro is alot more machine

Also is you dealer is selling a new 12000 for $5K grab it and run. The new machine will have the same size hoops not a lot of difference. 12000 premiered at $12K. I guessing the 15000 will be close to it's name in price.
