Date: 12/30/09 5:45 AM Yeah. Love the kurzgrosen.
Did you find any of the other themes or just the safari theme? (Not that I'm complaining, you understand, but I tried to find the other themes - they usually have a few). Next page>> |

I'm not sure -- Burda Plus/BurdaStyle Plus is much shorter than regular BWOF/BurdaStyle, so maybe that's it?
ETA -- I only count 11 items, so perhaps there is more to come. Even for Burda Plus, that doesn't seem like enough items -- maybe it's just the sneak preview? I'll keep my eye on it. Still hunting over there for the new spring/summer envelope patterns (last year they were posted by this time).

Date: 12/30/09 10:50 PM Thank you for posting this!
I really like that the technical drawings are posted--it's great to see the details! I like the skirt 409--it looks like a great variation on a pencil skirt. The fashion photos on location are fun, but not very helpful. It would be great if they had the maniquin shots, that show the garment not on the model, but a plain simple picture where we can see the details in fabric. Ahh well. I like the technical drawings! Oops they haven't loaded the technical drawings for the coat, yet.... ------ Needles Pins Thorns (my sewing blog)

Reply to Michelle T Date: 12/31/09 7:54 AM I like that dress, too! It will probably be my first project from the issue.
The issue seemed a bit short to me, too. I hope this is a preview and the issue has more patterns. ------ I sew, therefore I am.

Date: 12/31/09 4:43 PM I really like Kleid 417 A for my daughter. Don't know about the pockets though as she is a D cup (larger?) and they will probably be lying flat on top of her bust! But the neckline and sleeves will look great.

Reply to KarenTeel Date: 12/31/09 6:50 PM If you make this for your daughter, please try the pockets. It is not a given that details add to the size of the body part they are on; they can be used to distract, disguise or balance.
Maybe the pockets will help break up the expanse of fabric across the bust. Give them, or any other details, a try first.

I really like that dress, too:

I was wondering that same thing about the pockets, particularly on someone middle-aged/with a lower chest. Hmm. I'll be interested to see what bust-level pockets look like on a curvy person.
Interestingly, that seems to be a fooler dress --
