Hello, I recently inherited a White FR in a Martha Washington cabinet. It didn't come with a manual and while I've found quite a few options for sale online, I'm not sure where to find the model number on my machine to know which manual is correct. It does have FR #3255612.

Additionally, I can't figure out how to reverse my stitch on this machine. I'm thinking that if I find the manual, I may get some insight - not even sure this machine has the capability.

Any help/information would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance.

That model doesn't do reverse.

You can look up your serial number to get a fairly accurate manufacture year.

I am also trying to find info on a White machine and I got a critical error message that shut down my browser when I went to Katie's site

Are you still unable to access Katie's site? I can get in OK. Have you ever had difficulties before with Webshots? If so, maybe your browser doesn't like it. I'm not much help here - when I encounter such problems I scream for my nerdy DH to rescue me.

Here's a site you can check out also. I just got this a few days ago, took a bit to get registered though.

Needlebar.org

From the photos on the site I have a White FR Model 31, 1929, also in a Martha Washington cabinet.

Yours is a bit different from mine as mine is embossed with the rough texture. Photos here in my blog.

Does any one know if i can use a white family rotary treadle table, and fit a singer 15 into it? I have seen a wonderful treadle base and machine on Kijiji, but want a more modern machine on it to treadle. Will the hinge width be the same?

No. Not unless you are willing and able to do a lot of woodworking.

Back in the "golden age" of sewing machines (I consider the era to be roughly 1880-1945), manufacturers were careful to to design their machine heads and cabinets to be very brand specific. They didn't want their customers to re-purpose their cabinets to house other brand machines. So, they made their base sizes and shapes, and hinge spacing unique. Most of them also made their attachments brand specific as well.
