Hello everyone,
I have a copy of Eleanor Burn's book, Irish Chain in a Day; but, it is at our home in northern Wisconsin, and we are in the south. So...our local, wonderful quilt shop (Hidden Quilts in Platteville, WI) is having a sale and I want to take it advantage of it. If anyone has this book or other souces, could you please tell me the fabric requirements for a queen size quilt making a single and double chain. Soon, I will be able to get the book, but the sale will be over by then! Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cathy

I thought I had the book, but alas...

Maybe the quilt shop you're headed to has the book there.

Seems like the original copy of this book (has since been updated) had an error in the fabric amount. I always buy extra, since the first time I made it, I ran out. The LQS owner was the person who told me it had the mistake.

Thanks to all who saw and responded. I looked at my LQS and talked to Carol, the lovely owner, but alas, no luck. I will look at the library; thanks for the heads up about the initial book and the error.
Any other ideas will be greatly received.

Why not call her 1-800-777-4852 or email her: customerservice@quiltinaday.com Explain the situation and I'm sure they might be able to help.

You could contact Eleanor directly through her website. (edited to say, I see I'm not the first to suggest this...I'm just the slowest after opening the thread. lol)

I notice there are some corrections posted on this page, but none for the Irish Chain book(s).
