Date: 10/12/04 7:25 PM Are any of you ladies who collect vintage patterns familiar with The Lutterloh pattern making system? I am in search of any vintage Lutterloh supplements or pattern books from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Any information you could give me would be appreciated. I know that ebay has some from time to time, but was hoping to find an online source or a place where I could borrow or trade patterns. Thanks in advance for your help. |

Date: 10/12/04 7:36 PM I don't know much about it, but you can buy the current books etc. here. Perhaps if you contact them, and someone there would know where to purchase the vintage items. ------ Patty |

Date: 10/13/04 10:22 AM I lust for a lutterloh from the 1930s, so, fortunately, we won't be in competition.
Lutterloh makes a fairly frequent appearance on ebay. The ones from the '30s get very high prices, and I don't track the later ones. I would be surprised if they went for as high a price.

Go read this long thread - LOTS of vintage Lutterloh info here.
Lutterloh
And then there is a blog which is really helpful and deals a lot with vintage Lutterloh -
Come Sew Lutterloh with Me
Have fun! And by the way, Lutterloh owns the copyright to all their patterns, old and new, so keep this in mind when you want to acquire them. It would be nice if the company would publish a nice collection of their vintage stuff, too. -- Edited on 7/9/11 9:32 PM -- ------ "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."

Warnings went unheeded and I have now deleted several posts about exchanging patterns. Please use the classifieds for that.

Date: 10/18/11 1:24 PM Keep an eye out for ebay pattern lots -- I've had great luck scoring Lutterloh books in mixed pattern lots from sellers who didn't know better than to sell them separately! ------ I obsess about patterns at my blog, http://patternjunkie.typepad.com.
