I bought a pair of jeans that are about 2 inches too long and I want to hem them, but I was wondering if I need a special needle, foot, or anything else when using jean?
Thanks,
Christina

use a 14 needle and no special foot.

From what others have said, the nasty message came from Fitting Woes, NOT Misc Hot Topics or the Civility thread.

A few taps with a hammer where the seam and hem meet will sometimes do in a pinch.
