Date: 6/9/10 11:36 AM I bought an industrial type generic binder for my bernina that takes 2 inches strips and folds them into a B-type (finished on both sides) binding of 1/2 inch. I haven't had much success using it. The fabric strip gets pleats in it at the fold line.
Has anyone used a binder with success on a quilt? I used a dinner plate to cut arcs on the corners of the quilt since I couldn't figure out how to turn the corner. ------ Too much fabric to count... |

Date: 6/9/10 2:54 PM I have a binding attachment on an industrial Singer. It does a good job with the binding, but I don't like not having a "stuffed" binding. Someone emailed me instructions on how to do corners, but I never succeeded. When I use this tool, I round the corners as you do. |

Date: 6/11/10 11:41 AM I'd love to share but it was several years ago and the instructions are long gone. I couldn't get it to look neat no matter how hard I tried. Good luck. Maybe you will figure out something that looks presentable. |
