Date: 7/5/10 4:54 PM I have yet to begin tracing one of the patterns from the first drape drape pattern sewing book. Already chose the perfect rayon-lycra knit for it, too.
Here are a few sample images.
I can't believe that Bunka recently came out with drape drape 2. Here are a few sample images.

Date: 7/5/10 5:52 PM I love these books. Not anything I could wear now (where were these books 30 years ago?) but I love the styles and the use of fabric. ------ chris

Date: 7/5/10 9:21 PM Here you are: At it AGAIN! Shame on you!!
You've already made *me* all obsesso over Japanese pattern books! Now you have to convert more unsuspecting innocents??!!
I'm saying this because (of you, again) I just ordered 6 more books from YesAsia. Wanna see what I found?!
Patchwork Bags (Nawtcher gramma's bags)
Accessories
Stitching ideas
Adorable, yet fashion forward clothing!
And this is AFTER I snagged several books from Pomadour ~ who is amazing, btw. (NAYY)
And it's all YOUR fault that my head is just buzzing with ideas and my senses calmed (yet excited) by all these gorgeous projects!!!
My most sincere thanks!!! :)

Date: 7/5/10 10:38 PM Projects are getting done quickly because I don't think about writing reviews or taking photos anymore. But if this first drape drape dress turns out awesome, I'll try my very best to get a review and photos out to you! ------ Dec 2012: 2 yards

Date: 7/6/10 12:10 PM Nicegirl made a beautiful dress from the "drape drape" book. I'm too lazy to link, but I'm sure the photo is here somewhere. |

Date: 7/6/10 1:04 PM I *love* the looks of both of these, but I don't think it would be the best investment since even the largest size is beyond too small for me (like not even within grading range). Oh well. One less thing to spend money on. |

Date: 7/14/10 10:37 PM I gotta get this book! All the girls my age in San Diego are all wearing this style.
Thank goodness that my ex is Japanese. He's going to be reading me this entire book for the next few weeks. ------ My Store: http://shop.unsteadyboutique.com/
