I'm moving later this month and have decided to clear out my pattern stash and only keep those patterns that I have a chance of making up one day. I have at least a few dozen ranging from 1920s-1950s that I would like to sell, but I want to make sure they go to good homes (at the same time as getting a decent price from them). I was going to list them on ebay, since that is where I'm listing all of my non-pattern stuff, however I thought maybe there is a better place. Any suggestions? I'm not interested in listing them on etsy or another place where they would sit for a while before being purchased.

I have another several dozen from the 60s-now that I will probably list on ebay in lots unless someone out there has a better place for me to list them.

Thanks!
Erin

You could try the Classifieds section of The Fedora Lounge:

I would first try listing them on the Classifieds right here on PR. No cost to list, and you know they'll be going to good homes!

I thought about that, but I'm not really sure how to price them. The thing I like about ebay is that the market determines the cost.I've tried using ebay as a pricing guide, but many of my patterns have not sold recently, nor are they listed on the vintage pattern wiki (I intend to add them before selling them).

I think I might give it a shot on the classifieds and just take a guess on the pricing. :)

You could try Etsy, although since it's not an auction site you would need to set your price. You could also use Etsy as a guideline to determine your pricing.

I list a lot of stuff on Amazon. The people that buy stuff on Amazon have higher incomes than people buying stuff on eBay. People shopping on eBay are looking for bargains.
