Clarification on how to use the Sewing Machine/Serger Forums

Over the last few months we have noticed many topics on the boards with excitement and joy over a certain machine. Message boards ARE the perfect place for this, so please continue to do so. We want to share in your joy and want to learn about new machines. However since topics do take up a lot of room we advise that you post these in the newly designated topic Machine Finds. You'll find this "pinned" topic in the Sewing Machine Forum on top. Separate topics containing machine finds may be merged into this topic if found. If however, you own that machine, consider writing a Sewing Machine review. That way you'll also be able to help others make better decisions. What is NOT OK is commercial posting of any kind without prior permission from PatternReview.com. To elaborate on that, if you are an eBay/Craigslist/etsy/independent seller of sewing machines, it is NOT OK for you to post information about that machine and post links to the relevant site. This is simply not fair to our advertisers. If you are not affiliated with the seller, it is OK to post the machine find/deal on the Machine Finds topic. As always, please abide by the Posting Guidelines on all topics and forums on the site. Restructuring/New forums etc. There have been some requests on vintage and other new forums. At this time, we're not going to add any new forums. Please continue to post as always. That said, based on the current usage, it may be necessary to make some structural changes to the message board sometime next year and if and when we do this, you'll know ahead of time.
