Date: 10/16/10 2:19 AM I was wondering if people have favorite eBay fabric sellers. I feel like eBay is a fabric resource I haven't tapped, but searching for fabric there is so overwhelming. It would help a lot if I knew of a few good sellers to keep an eye on. Thanks! ------ STASH TRACKING

Date: 10/16/10 7:56 AM I don't buy my fabrics from Ebay but much prefer to buy them from an online fabric store. Such as Fabric dot com, fashion fabrics club, denver fabrics, equilter fabrics, and fabric mart fabrics. You can join a swatch club, for a minimal fee per year and get swatches that you can touch and feel. Some companies, like fabric dot com, will send you swatches for a small fee (about 1.25) and I noticed recently they lowered their price for shipping them (before it was $8.00 standard rate, but now it's about $1.00)
Ebay is too tricky for me; the camera colors don't show correctly, the seller sometimes isn't honest, and you can't return anything if you're dissatisfied. Make like easier and buy from an online fabric store, is what I'd say. ------ "We don't impose our rhythm on Nature. The key is to respect and live within Her." Jean-Charles Boisset, Winemaker

Best Online Fabrics - Ebay
I think I've heard other people who have too. I agree though that I've found better at online retailers outside of ebay with better quality for roughly the same price. ------ http://kimsewsilly.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 10/16/10 10:04 AM What I had eBay in mind for was knit prints. I agree about needing to be able to at least swatch a fabric and love shopping in regular as well as online shops for that. But I'm finding that I'm not seeing a lot of knit prints that I like in either of those, so I thought I would expand my horizons. :) ------ STASH TRACKING

Date: 10/16/10 10:07 AM I second the recommendation for Best Online Fabrics. I have bought from this vendor multiple times. They carry breathable poly knits that are great to work with. I just finished a top from one of their fabrics last night and I have a couple of their fabrics in the sewing line up. This is one of my main go-to vendor for knit print fabrics. ------ Towanda

Date: 10/17/10 0:58 AM Another big fan of BOF. Nice stuff, helpful people, and reasonable prices. I've even scored a couple of sweater knits there.

Date: 10/17/10 9:43 AM I just checked out Highendfabrics and was SUPER impressed. So much so that I purchased some modal jersey. I hope to get some silk jerseys from her (?) in the future. I thought her prices were very reasonable.
Thank you for posting.
