Date: 12/9/10 10:51 PM Wow, it's nearly 2011 already! It's not just a new year, it's a new year of contests here on Patternreview. The Contest Committee hopes that you've all had a chance to look at the contest list for next year and plan to participate in some (or all) of them.
We're also going to be looking for contests managers for the first 2 months of contests. The following contests will need managers:
January: Fabric Stash (2 month contest); Activewear (1 month contest)
February: Lined Jacket (2 month contest); Mini Wardrobe (1 month contest); PR challenge (2 week contest, subject TBA).
If you're interested in managing a contest in 2011, please post here and we'll PM you with the rules prior to the start of the contest. Thanks in advance for volunteering - contests are an important - and fun - part of PR, and they couldn't happen without managers.

Date: 12/10/10 0:34 AM I could be available for the 2 week PR Challenge in February. I don't want to commit to anything longer than that at this time.
Let me know.

Date: 12/11/10 9:13 AM Thanks, everyone.
Aroura is managing a contest right now, so maybe someone else can step up for Activewear and give her a break between managing contest.

Date: 12/11/10 9:19 AM I'm not sure what the requirements for managing a contest are. My experience with contests is extremely limited -- participated in exactly one -- but I love reading the contest threads and viewing the galleries. I'd be pleased to try my hand at the Activewear contest. (And no hard feelings if you need someone with more experience, of course.) |

Date: 12/11/10 2:22 PM Jacqui and Elizabeth, thanks for volunteering. Aroura, thank YOU for repeat volunteering, but this way you can take a month off and then manage another contest soon.
Rules are pretty much set for both these contests. We'll forward them over to you shortly and you can start the contest threads when you're ready. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or any member of the Contest Committee and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Thanks again for helping out. It's truly appreciated. ------ Karen
