Thread's Ebooks (Nook? Kindle?) Has anyone downloaded?

I'd like to get the lining book which is only $10. It would be great if it was readable on my Nook. You do lose something without the color pictures, and most of the images from the pdf do not show up on the nook. You see the picture's caption, but not the picture itself. Hope that helps.

Date: 5/2/12 10:47 PM You can read them on your computer too, and print out any pages needed for reference. On your computer you don't lose the color pictures. I picked up the Threads sewing books that I was missing from the Jacket/pant/tshirt/linings, etc. series. -- Edited on 5/2/12 10:48 PM -- ------ Marilyn January 2009 to January 2010 81 yards out and 71yards in January 2010 to the present 106.7 yards out and 146.5 yards in. While I don't have the Linings book-- I do have two of Kenneth King's ebooks-- moulage, and birth of a bustier--both are pdfs. Both tablets have their advantages. The kindle is smaller, and can be stuffed into a coat pocket-- though summer is fast approaching. It's readable in bright sunlight. I have a lighted case, so I can read while walking home in the dark. The iPad on the other hand, has a well thought out touch interface, is color, and is much faster. Ideally, you should be able to use an ebook as you would a regular book, and flip pages until you see something of interest on the page. I can't do this on my kindle-- it's too slow-- and it takes minutes to do what would take seconds in real life. The iPad is much closer to this ideal. "Bustier" has many more photographs than "Moulage", which is mostly line art. However, the kindle renders them expertly. They tend to look like old newspaper photos. You probably won't be able to reliably discern the lightest details, such as King's penciled in notations. Still, the important thing is that you can plop an iPad or a kindle onto your cutting table, and refer back to it as you draft. I don't have a nook,so I can't comment on the nook's capabilities. I may be able to photograph the kindle's screen so you can see how it handles greyscale.
