Does anyone know of an Android app that helps with keeping track of patterns, ruler types, colors of embroidery thread etc.? I found something for knitting needles, supplies, projects and the like. I thought it would be great to find a sewing app too.

When you find the Android app - please let us know. I have the Android -first generation - and have been patiently waiting for something like this.

I don't think there are any yet. I got my iPhone last month for this very reason. The HTC and Samsung Galaxy phones looked to be much better, but I wanted to be able to use Bento to keep an inventory of my pattern and fabric stash on my mac and phone.

And there was no android app then that would facilitate this. HTH

It's not specifically a sewing app, but I use Evernote to keep track of my patterns, notions etc. It's very handy, and free up to a certain amount of data loaded into notes each month. It syncs with the evernote website, and you can download a client onto your PC that is great too.

I just got an Android phone as well. Can you load photos of patterns from Burda magazines and have pictures of them

In Evernote? Yes... you can either grab the photo off the burda website or upload it from your computer. There is a button you can download for your browser, so you just have to highlight the photo, click the "add to evernote" button and it creates the note. I have all my patterns in there with photos, and I tagged them with type, fabric called for etc - it's so much nicer!

That's what I need for fabric shopping. I might buy fabric that's actually for a particular pattern. Of course that's no guarantee that I'll use it for that.

I use Evernote and Skitch. Both, I feel are fairly user friendly.

It's not a specific app but I used the pattern stash and wish list features here at PR when shopping. I use the browser--last time I checked there wasn't a PR android app.

come to think of it that was a while ago.

I love being able to get to all the patterns on my phone....
